Harlem Renaissance Webquest - Final Project Due 5/12


When you aren't reading the novel in class you will spend the week exploring the Harlem Renaissance. Your group will need to assign roles: You will need An Education/Political Historian,
A Musicologist (historian of all music of the period - see timeline), A Philosophy &  Religion Expert,
and an Art Historian.

Once you assign roles you will travel to HARLEM  and explore the multimedia platform for this project. The Art Historian will travel to Rhapsodies in Black . This video will be a useful introduction:Harlem Renaissance

Task: To assemble an 5 - 7 minute movie maker film that documents the Harlem Renaissance and connects it to Ellison's Invisible Man. You must clearly articulate the influence and representation of each sphere of influence.

Things to consider: Musical Soundtrack, Art Images, How to Organize your information.

Extra Credit: 15pts.
