Explore
these sites for information on privacy, censorship, and the banning of books as
related to the novels you will be reading. These sites will not cover
everything and may be outdated, so it is important to use them to guide your
thinking rather than to rely on them entirely. You may have to write your
answers on a separate sheet of paper.
Step I: Answer the following questions based on your
opinion. Use examples and be specific.
1.
Who has privacy? From whom are they keeping
things private?
2.
Where and when is privacy an issue?
3.
How do privacy issues affect you? How could a person's
privacy be compromised?
Step II: Brainstorm at least 4 ways that people are
being censored today. Use the below sites to guide your thinking.
Step III:
Censorship in the news
- Who is in favor of these limitations on freedom of speech? Why?
- Who is opposed? Why?
- Which side do you agree with? Why?

Media
Book Banning
Step IV:
Create a Prezi with your partner that clearly demonstrates the effects
of censorship in 2014 -
Show 5 examples and then connect the examples to text evidence from 1984. Your examples should include photos, screenshots, and even video (as long as it’s short!).

ReplyDeleteDo we need a text evidence for EACH of the 5 examples, or just one big text evidence? (for the prezi part)
ReplyDeleteI think the former would be best.
