Assessing the Past

1) Find one historical event in the last two hundred years that has been rewritten at least twice and be prepared to explain how. You must support your claim with hard evidence and be able to explain what you think was gained each time it was rewritten.

2) Do you think we honestly assess the past? Why or why not? Be prepared to discuss in a Socratic seminar

Found Poetry

The following is a definition of "found poetry"

Please read the handout from class and then: 

1st Period - Due 4/14 Please read the found poetry handout in dropbox. There are many examples of what found poetry is. Please self select a passage from UTFOJ that you think is extremely important to the development of a character and then compose a found poem from those pages. Type the poem and on a separate page type an explanation of what you were trying to capture and why it's important (just like the model from the handout or from the larger handout in the DROPBOX )
