Poster grades - Resubmit?

If you are not happy with your poster grade you can always revise or resubmit for a higher grade before the end of the week. Remember, your poster was to be visually appealing, explicitly communicate the term and what it is wanted for (as a literary device). It needed to demonstrate a complete understanding of the device as well. If it did not do these things, then it didn't meet all the requirements for an A.

Reflection with tone: Due beginning of class 12/7

Reflection: Compose a 1.5 page response to the following - Given the latest mass shooting in our country, is this now our new "normal"? Should we accept it as such?
Frame your response as a direct answer. Select two tone words that best capture your attitude towards this subject and make sure that your response consistently reflects this tone. Remember, you can not use these words in your writing (your writing must demonstrate this tone). Support your response concretely with three examples from the articles, and/or current events. Try to write is the same style as the author of the 2nd article from your handout.

Article of the Week Extension

Assignment - Due Beginning of Class 12/3

Given your article, your personal experience, observations, and the experience(s) that were shared with you compose a 1 - 1.5 page response: Is the increased attention to microagression something that has "helped us all" or is it something that creates a "victimhood culture"?  Regardless of your position you must acknowledge the validity of the other position while advocating your personal position.
